North Liberty Dental has been providing quality, personalized family and cosmetic dental care to North Liberty and the greater Iowa City area for over 30 years. Our experienced team of six general dentists, along with our hygienists, assistants and patient coordinators, offers a comprehensive range of services — from routine cleanings and preventive care to fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, implants, tooth whitening and SureSmile clear aligners. We offer a warm, family-oriented office that takes a personal interest in your oral health needs and goals.

We are currently welcoming new patients of all ages and look forward to becoming your family’s dental home.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

We know that starting with a new dental practice can feel like a big step, and our goal is to make your first appointment thorough, comfortable and easy to understand. Being well-prepared helps your doctor gather everything needed to give you the best possible care, and it helps ease any first-visit nerves.

Please bring with you:

  • Bring a photo ID and your dental insurance card, if you have one
  • Bring a list of current medications, including vitamins and supplements

Arrive a few minutes early to finish any remaining paperwork.

Except for emergency visits, your first appointment is spent on a thorough, unhurried examination that includes:

  • A complete medical history review, to protect your health and guide safe treatment
  • A clinical exam of your head and neck, including your teeth and all soft tissues
  • An oral cancer screening
X-rays, to detect decay and evaluate the condition of the supporting bone

Once your exam is complete, your dentist will walk you through their findings and, if any treatment is needed, help you build a plan that fits your goals, your comfort and your schedule.

Insurance & Payment

North Liberty Dental accepts all insurance plans and submits claims to your insurance company as a courtesy. We are a preferred provider with Delta Dental Premiere; patients with other plans are subject to usual, reasonable and customary costs. We do not accept Medicaid dental insurance.

If you have dental insurance, your estimated co-payment is due at the time of service; any remaining balance after your insurance pays its portion will be billed to you.

If you don’t have dental insurance, payment is expected the day of service — we offer a same-day discount for cash or check.

For more extensive treatment, payment plans are available; ask our front desk team for details.
